Adapta staff are passionate about the individuals they serve. Based on the belief that people start healing the moment they feel heard, their staff listen to the needs of individuals served.
Judd House is the newest Adpata home and will provide person-centered services to an additional three individuals. We look forward to the opening of this great home in the near future.
At the end of the day, our goal is to prepare every resident for an independent life well-lived—whatever that looks like—outside of our four walls.
Adapta offers researched-based, person-centered transitional housing for adults with a traumatic brain injury or other neurological disorders in Rochester, MN. Both of Adapta’s locations—Folwell Flats and Manor House—provide a supportive, residential environment with onsite and offsite services. Adapta exists to promote the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of individuals in transitional circumstances.
At Adapta, we have found sometimes the easiest way to improve care is the simplest, so we keep our residents in the center of everything we do. When we change the life of just one person, we have changed the world for the better, much like the old man in the Story of the Starfish.

Our goal is to encourage and support each person to live a life well-lived – whatever that looks like! Adapta’s person-centered, family-feel allows us to build deeper relationships with the individuals we serve.
First and foremost, we are advocates for treating people like people, not their diagnosis. This is at the core of everything we do at Adapta. Our strength is found in our diversity.

The staff here really help me work my programs. In other places, I felt bullied. I get along with the staff because they understand my mental health issues. At Adapta, they are helping me look forward to a different life.

The staff is nice. It is nice to have rides to the store and I enjoy having a music station in the activity room.

I like the outings and activities that we get to do here. It is nice to get out and do things. The staff are good people and always help me with my needs. I have gotten off of drugs and am on a better path.
