Support services for individuals living with symptoms of brain injury & mental health conditions

Brenda Vert is the Community Integration Coordinator for Adapta. She is responsible for developing and cultivating opportunities for growth through community involvement and collaboration. This applies to Adapta, as an agency, and for each individual we serve.

Brenda studied at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan and also at the Mayo School of Health Sciences. Brenda has been working with individuals with exceptional abilities and challenges since 1995. This journey has included people with Intellectual Disabilities, children and adults with complex medical needs, individuals with brain injuries, people living with mental health issues, and adults with substance use disorders. Brenda is committed to the philosophy of person centered practices and has received training through the University of Minnesota to be a Person Centered Thinking coach.

She has been a volunteer with the United Way of Olmsted County, the March of Dimes, Brain Injury Community Committee, and Special Olympics. She and her husband have mentored other couples that have a family member with a spinal cord injury. In her “spare time”, she immensely enjoys time with her ten grandchildren!
