Our Story
Support services for individuals living with symptoms of brain injury & mental health conditions

Adapta’s story began in 1997 under the name “Wing House Corporation”. Operated by a Board of Directors, under the management of an Executive Director, “Wing House Corporation” provided specialized housing for individuals living with Brain Injuries.

Throughout the years, Adapta acknowledged many individuals served were experiencing symptoms of their brain injury in addition to ongoing mental health and/or substance use disorders. In 2018, Adapta proudly expanded their mission statement to reflect expansion of services.

Adapta’s individualized services allow people to live in supportive environment while having unlimited access to the community and resources. Adapta has been successful in preventing individuals from requiring a more restrictive environment at a much more cost-effective rate. Adapta strongly believes individuals do best when they are heard and have choice in their living environment. Because of this, Adapta expanded their service options. With both 245D licensed services and a Customized Living option, Adapta can provide services in a variety of locations and ways. In addition to their original 18 bed “dorm-like” property, Folwell Flats, Adapta also has community based residential homes. Additionally, their specially trained staff can provide Independent Living Skills (ILS) training wherever the individual chooses to live!
